    ABOUT MODEL

    Landscapers and contractors are demanding more cordless alternatives to gas-powered outdoor power equipment. Makita is meeting demand with an expanding line of cordless OPE, including the 36V (18V X2) LXT® Brushless 16” Chain Saw (XCU04CM). With zero emissions, lower noise, and considerably less maintenance, the XCU04CM is a welcome solution for cutting and trimming applications. It’s powered by two 18V LXT® 4.0Ah Batteries for maximum power, speed and run-time. And with the efficient Makita® outer rotor brushless motor with direct drive system, users get high power efficiency that is equivalent to a 32cc gas chain saw.

    The XCU04CM has a 16” guide bar and the Makita-built outer rotor brushless motor direct drive system motor with variable speed delivers 0-3,940 FPM for increased cutting speed. It has zero emissions and reduced maintenance: there's no engine oil to change, no spark plug to replace, and no air filter or muffler to clean. And there's no need to drain the fuel for storage. Simply pick it up, load two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries, and the saw is ready to use. Convenience features include a tool-less chain adjustments, a front hand guard engineered to actuate chain brake when engaged, an electric brake for maximum productivity, and more.

    Not impressed, I'm afraid. Used it once, and the chain came loose. Had to spend ages trying to fix it. 😠 Also, the battery didn't last as long as I thought it would. For the price, I expected much better quality. Disappointing, to say the least. 👎 Waste of money, innit

    Hmm, it's alright. I bought it for some light pruning in the garden [场景关键词3]. It does the job, but I found the chain needed tightening a couple of times. Also, the instructions weren't the clearest, so took me a bit to figure out. 🤷‍♀️ Decent, but not mind-blowing. I expected a bit more tbh.

    Alright, not bad, not bad at all. Got the Makita chainsaw for clearing out some fallen trees in my allotment [场景关键词1]. It's pretty decent. Easy to handle, even for a novice like me. Only snag is it's a tad heavier than I expected, but still manageable. 😅 Battery life is good. Overall, a solid bit of kit. 👍
